(Yes, you read that right. Six feet!!) This clock is constructed of new pine planks and hand painted. The 3-dimensional hands are hand cut from 1/8 plywood and can be positioned (and re-positioned) to any time you would like. You have a choice of light, dark or grey stain, see photos for examples. The standard color used for the ring is a light cream. If you prefer white, please make a note of it. The roman numerals are hand-painted and distressed. Your clock is sealed with several coats of satin finish polyacrylic, which can easily be cleaned. A heavy-duty hanger is installed on the back. It has a companion piece (included) which screws into wall studs and is very sturdy. This clock weighs around 60 lbs., and the hanger supports up to 200 lbs. The price includes family name and year personalization as shown in the third photo. If you do not want that option, send me a message and I will deduct $40. This clock is shipped deconstructed to save on shipping costs. Clear, easy-to-follow assembly instructions are provided. My reclaimed wood is purchased from a couple of local good ole boys who deconstruct old buildings and resell the wood. I select each board individually, looking for great knots and color. I usually have a general idea of what I want to create, but often the wood speaks to me and I just do what it dictates. I love using power tools such as saws, routers and sanders. I am continually cleaning up sawdust. My sweet husband is very patient as there is almost always a layer coating his golf clubs. The unusual items used as hour markers (both vintage and non-vintage) are collected from a large variety of places and resources. It is so much fun searching for new things and I enjoy every minute of it. My teenage daughter gives me great advice on what to buy and new ideas. I dont know what Ill do when she leaves for college! The coins I use are all tumbled clean prior to construction. (You do know how dirty coins can be!!) I do not use collector quality coins, which enables me to keep my prices down.
